Flash Palette and Housekeeping

Flash Palette seems to be growing hand over fist at the moment. I heard about them a while ago here and there but it seems I'm hearing about them everywhere now. Are you in the market for a new website? Definitely check them out!

Now for some housekeeping...

In a few more days the next VIBE contest will be announced. Why mention it now... hmm... maybe it's got a little something to do with Flash Palette?

I may be taking my love of giving a little too far (but really, is there ever a too far?) but there's ANOTHER GIVEAWAY coming up soon!!! Launching soon is another fantastic business that will help you take your branding further and allow you to stand out from the crowd. I don't want to say too much yet but vibe will be working with some busy ninjas and there's going to be a giveaway to kick it off.

Something else I'll be starting once a week is a before and after day. I'll take 1 - 3 photos and post before and afters with details of what processing was done. If you'd like me to use one of your photos, email just one photo to contact@viberesources.com with the understanding that you are giving permission for vibe to post your photo here on the blog.

I adjusted the white balance and fill shadows in Lightroom and exported to Photoshop. Applied Glow at 60% opacity. Cropped, burnt a light vignette, resized and sharpened for web.

If you're wondering... the red hanging off his neck is his [S]upercape! Omgosh... I always said I'd never clothe my pets but it's the coolest cape and the kids love it. This was his first time wearing it. I DID get better shots of the cape but this was the best of him.

Yup - I'm so super excited to be announcing that there's a new member to the vibe team! I'm so super excited to know that vibe has grown to a place where it needs new members on the team!!!

julie metcalf has joined the ranks. From the beginning Julie has been tester, supporter, proof reader, product analyst, quality control, inspiration and PR rep. Knowing as much as I do about everything vibe, she's the perfect person to be joining the team.

I've been slacking this year in regards to the interviews as well. I've decided that I want to introduce you further to our featured photographers and so I'll be banging down their doors for interviews. Stay tuned for the first next week - with none other then our Julie!

It's amazing what sleep can do for your mood. In the last 2 days I've had 20 hours sleep and I'm finally starting to feel normal again. Launching the site has been exciting no doubt... but I really think I need to sleep more next time.

Day 1 (yay - finally!)

the |processing show offs| gallery is full of eye candy! It's full of stunning photos from all of the featured photographers, accompanied by a quick description of what action/preset was used. (not accompanied with a full description of the editing process).

the reveal:
I saved this one for last. I have been promising my girl Julie for a long time now that I would create a set of textures. I'm happy to say that they are ready! The new textures will give your photo a grungy, damaged, old time feel.

So, we discovered that I can't count, right? There are TWO photographers left hiding behind the curtain. Last in the lineup - but definitely not least - are Jessica Preuhs and Tracie Taylor.
I love every one of the featured photographers on vibe want to take this chance to thank them again. Love you girls!!!

Day should have been 1 but isn't...

apparently I can't count... January has 31 days - not 30... did you know that? Of course you did - I'm the only klutz here right now. Once I realised I had to hussle and put together an extra day's worth of goodies and reveals, etc... here it comes.......

I've been able to work with some lovely photographers lately, helping them create new looks for their brand by coming up with a kick ass logo. The custom design section is expanding into business cards, letterheads, envelopes, and more.

featured photographers:
I had a bit of a problem here... there were 2 photographers left on the list and now I have to split them up and reveal 1 a day...
for today - it's ME!
Ha! I am sure that you'll be shocked and amazed to know that my photography is featured throughout the site. Hmm... surely you're not feeling let down?
